Altered Rosette treat bag

Hi friends!! It’s Tammy Lee from @hey.its.tam.tam and I’m here to share my latest project using the digits stamps Halloween Cookies and Treat Yourself. Here’s what we’ll be making!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Digital Stamp Halloween Cookies and Treat Yourself from the DoodleDaisesandInk Etsy shop

A rosette: you can either make one yourself using a die or with a score board. I’m using a store bought one from my stash

Scissors

Your favorite adhesive

A treat bag

Let’s get started!

**BONUS tip** If you don’t have any white cardstock to print the digital images on to, go through your stash and see if you have any one sided scrapbook paper that have been sitting there because you don’t like it or it doesn’t work with the crafts you do. We all have those ugly/what the heck am I supposed to with this papers in those giant scrapbook stash. Just cut it to fit your printer and print the images on the white side of the paper. It’s a great way to recycle those papers and clean your stash! Also, whatever you print will be double sided.

The thing I like about digital images is that they’re resizable. If you look, the Halloween Cookies digital stamp is a cluster of cookies. What I did was blow up the image and then cut the cookies apart. I did the same with the coffee cup in the Treat Yourself stamp.

You can see in this closeup how I was able to take the cookies and the coffee cup and layer them onto the rosette. I love adding a first layer and then build up using foam tape.

The best advice I have when it comes to layering is don’t be afraid to cover things up. And of course with digital stamps, you can just print more! I always like to use a sentiment as the very top layer to bring it all together. I use Tim Holtz distress inks so it wouldn’t be a stark white element.

Then you just use tape, glue or hot glue to adhere it to a treat bag! I used double sided tape because my treat bag was a plastic type of material. And that’s it! Thank you for visiting the blog today!
