Eat, Drink and Be Scary!

Hello everyone!

Eny here, with a fun and quick card to get you ready for Halloween season!
Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. We get to dress up, trick or treat, and watch spooky movies all month long. This year is certainly different, and we wont be able to partake in festivities like we used to. But, That doesn't mean we cant still have fun! One of the ways I like to get in to the spirit, is by creating and sending out handmade cards.

For todays project I am using digital stamp sets Cake it Easy and Eat, Drink and Be Scary, both available at the Doodledaisiesandink Etsy Shop. I am coloring all images using ArtnFly Sketch Alcohol Markers. I wanted to use traditional Halloween colors. Using purple, greens and orange to give it the overall look. Shading and highlights are important, specially when you're using images that have texture in the design.
Once all images are colored and with the desired effect, I will fussy cut all of them, and use a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pen, to cover the full outline of of my images. This helps create a seamless look, and make it appear as if it were a physical stamps being used.

I can now adhere my images to my card base. I used Carta Bella papers, from their new Halloween Market Collection, layering three designs, all cut at different dimensions. The main base is a standard American A2 size card (4.25x5.50), and each layered piece is trimmed down 1/8 of an inch on 2 sides. I also decided to add a bit of interest, by creating corner accents for my final piece of patterned paper.

Thank you for joining me today, and I hope this project inspired you to create something today. If it did, please share it with us over at our Instagram.
