Hey there Doodlers!
Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs here to show you how I made this fun diagonal triangle folding card duo for local medical staff using the new Doodle Daisies and Ink stamp Our Heroes.
I first started with and 8.5 by 11 sheet of cardstock paper and scored at 4.25 along the 8.5 inch side then turned the paper and scored at 5.5 along the 11-inch side. Then I cut diagonally from one corner to another.
I grabbed my alcohol markers and colored up a whole ward's worth of doctors and nurses from the stamp set and fussy cut them out.
I went over their eyes with a black gen pen and then added white and sparkle details to their stethoscopes as well.
Then I found papers in my stash with "medical feeling" colors and cut 2 rectangles at 4x5.25 from them and cut the rectangles diagonally in half. Make sure you pay attention to the direction of your patterned paper (if your using some) and the direction you want your card to open.I then adhered ½ of each rectangle to either card front and stamped my sentiment on diecut circles.
I traced each card front with a gel pen and added a few rhinestones and pearls. I went back to my stash and found another pattern paper for the inside of my cards and stamped the same sentiments on both cards from Ink Road's Bun intended 4 stamp set.
I propped the circles up on some craft foam and then onto scalloped circles diecut from glitter paper. I then glued down my sentiments and a couple of nurses to the front of my cards.
I adore the way these cards turned out and cant wait to give them away! Now, I challenge you to make some sort of appreciation, encouragement, or Random Act of Kindness craft to give to your own local hospital, urgent care, or Dr's office staff!
